Softener filter with Automatic/Manual Valve

Hard water is water that is high in mineral content, making it more likely to cause scaling that reduces water flow and less able to properly clean your laundry, dishes, and even yourself. Water softeners decrease the amount of calcium, magnesium, and certain other metal cations in hard water. The resulting soft water requires less soap for the same cleaning effort, as soap is not wasted mopping up calcium ions. Soft water also extends the lifetime of plumbing by reducing or eliminating scale build-up in pipes and fittings. Water softening is usually achieved using lime softening or ion-exchange resins.

Please note that a Water Softener is not a filter and therefore does not provide any filtration or reduce bacteria, parasites and cysts. We therefore recommend adding a filtration system for your drinking water.
