Sodium nitrite is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaNO2. It is a white to slightly yellowish crystalline powder that is very soluble in water and is hygroscopic. It is used in a variety of organic compounds, such as dyes, and pesticides and as an effective corrosion inhibitor. Sodium Nitrite Technical grade cannot be used as a food additive. For food additive use please refer to our  Sodium nitrite (E number E250).
