Methylated Spirits is a clear and colourless liquid commonly used as a very versatile household cleaning agent because it facilitates to kill and remove up to 99% of germs. Used for disinfecting, sterilising medical equipment, removing sticker residue and stains, removing ink from non-porous surfaces, and cleaning windscreens.

Methylated spirits is often referred to as denatured alcohol which means that it contains a denaturant in it so it cannot be consumed. It is an effective solvent in the paints, lacquers and varnish industry.
