Citric Acid Solution 5% is a clear solution made from food grade citric acid and demineralised water. It is designed to remove iron and other inorganic and organic fouling from polyamide membranes. They have been formulated to give a pH of about 4 to the cleaning solutions at the correct concentrations.

It is also used in preparation of citrates, flavouring extracts, confections, soft drinks, effervescent salts, acidifier, dispersing agent, medicines, acidulant and antioxidant in foods, sequestering agent, water-conditioning agent and detergent builder, cleaning and polishing stainless steel and other metals.
