Calcium chloride is an inorganic compound, a salt with the chemical formula CaCl2. It is a colourless crystalline solid at room temperature, highly soluble in water. Technical grade calcium chloride is produced with special attention to quality and consistency and is mostly used in in the oil industry as a cooling agent for water treatment, for dehumidification and for the reduction of setting time in concrete.
