Silane Coupling Agents for Resin Coated Sand

Silane coupling agents are silicon-based chemicals that contain two types of reactivity (inorganic and organic) in the same molecule. Because the structure and properties of sand and resin are very different, synthetic resins are used as mold and core sand binder to attract molecules on the interface and combine the resin and sand through chemical reaction.

At All Chemical, we recommend the use of the 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (SE8133) silane coupling agent as an alternative to improve the strength of resin coated sand, reduce the defects of the castings, improve the high temperature performance and thermal stability, and effectively raise the quality of the castings while reducing the cost.
